VolcomPimp Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Why would it be loud? I wasnt gonna use a hsf... just like a small heatsink or somethin....
hiph0pan0nym0usx Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 ya sry i was thinkin like volcano7 style... if u stick a hsf on there it will work... i just think its a waste of $... unless u got 1 lying around. in which case i would just use the fan off of it... but yes i think it will work. Ronin Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Id just go with a baybus and if that aint enough a heatsink on your hdd would cool it down a bit, plus itd be hilarious.
Muffin Man Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 i think its just of waste of money but if u want u could do it actually sound interesting
Psywar Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 the only time u really need a heatsink on a harddrive is if ur running Scuzzy.. If that was the case I would recommend an aluminam HD heatsink they make them.. and they really work nice..
d3bruts1d Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 It would have to be something like this Otherwise it wouldn't do much good... The heatsink would need to cover the entire HDD to pull the heat off of it. Though, I think it'd be cool to see a home made one.
