Sly_C Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 yeah i like the name too, and i don't mean to crush ur idea, good luck.
InvaderTrax Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Whatever you do, make sure the name doesn't have an obvious other meaning. ex: King's Kar Kare I actually saw a place like that. I live in the south, so it really made me wonder...
Dr_Frankenstein Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 yeah good name good things come in threes and i will be working from home ...
bloodking Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 @ the one stating dell is cheaper i'm sorry to say so but i can build a PC with better specs and for less money ( even when you throw in a LCD screen) and still make 100 bucks out of it. ( i do own a home computer company of my own ) when you start it all make sure you can deliver a complete system....DELL sells because when you get a computer at dell you will receive a complete system that you plug in and works. it's a deadly competition but you can make a buck out of it. for a name go for a name that is short and has power my name is Tyran Computers when you speak it out loudly you hear power.... lol go for a name that looks well when you use the first letters in a logo ... ( see logo attached by me ) what about smart computers?
ClayMeow Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 bloodking, no offense, but Tyran Computers remind me way too much of Tyan, which IMO sucks, so i dunno, but i feel that anyone that "knows" stuff about computers would be turned off by your name. shrug. AYoKoNA Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Tyan actually makes excellent mobo's.. <_< And to Bloodking... Beat this deal $399 after $100 rebate...No way anyone can match that IMO. http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/con...oc=D24TVC&s=dhs
Ph33rh4x Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 accually that would be pretty crap easy to beat.. wow its a celeron 2.4 with a dell mobo with integrated sound and video.. ohhhh and it comes with a 17" monitor.. those are pretty darn cheap now
ClayMeow Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 i'm with ayokona...you can't beat deals like that. you could obviously make better systems, but that's not the point here....we're talking about users who don't need all the bells and whistles...not us OCCers and gamerz. That dell system is a great choice for an elderly couple, or for a family with young kids...who don't want to spend hundreds for specs they don't need. Sly_C Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 my point exactly there is no way to match that deal and what i'm saying is the people that need the power of a computer that you are offereing are usualy the ones that build them themselves. exeter_acres Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Ummm Labor Costs....? SUre parts would be cheaper...but unlike you guys, my time ain't free.... and... Dr Frankenstiens Monster computers.. Monster Computers. Really good, Cheap Computers... [insert name of hometown here] Computers [insert your street name here] computers [insert your dogs name here] computers etc. etc.
bloodking Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 i build that same comp standard for 400 bucks! no rebates no nothing...plain 400 bucks... and that with a 2500+ AMD in the system! beat that! I don't make as much as dell on a computer but sure as hell i can beat that price if i would use no name products ( like mem , CD-rom ) i would make about 60 bucks per computer. Sly_C Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 but the amd system is cheaper than building the intel that that comp has in it. also some how i doubt thats with a new monitor?
