Transfer Old Files

XP won't let me transfer old files to new machine...loses connection even with a direct connection using the NIC's. New mobo is Asus p4c800 deluxe. Both NIC's are manually set at 100mbs/sec full duplex. Bios is 1016 and all drivers are up to date. Half way or so into the transfer it all does sour...any ideas? Also can't map the drive ..error msg says not enough space on server?????...help.. new machine is Asus p4c800 deluxe P4 3.4 GHZ with 1GB twinx 4000 corsair, ati 9800 xt 256mb, 2 wd 360 (raptor) raid 0 overclocked 10% using Asus bios with PAT enabled (3.74 GHZ). I can't get it to over clock at 20%...hmmmm..
