Cooler Master Releasing New Fans and Tempered Glass, ARGB GPU Support Bracket

Recommended Posts

Good airflow is necessary for getting the most out of your computer, which is why there are already so many fans out there to choose from, and Cooler Master has added to the list with its MasterFan SF120M ARGB and MasterFan MF120 Prismatic. Both of these feature ARGB lighting to get the colors and effects you want for your build, but if that is not enough the company has also announced the MasterAccessory ARGB GPU Support Bracket with tempered glass and edge-lighting.

With how large graphics cards have become, some are heavy enough for their components to separate over time and even pull down on the motherboard's PCIe slot. As both sag and bending can impair performance if not damage the hardware involved, support brackets are employed to help hold the weight. This bracket works by being placed beneath the GPU, with its base featuring a magnet to hold it in place and an adjustable arm to support the graphics card. The bracket comes with two versions of the arm that had different orientations so you can place the bracket at the end of the card, or along its side, next to the case side panel. The arms can be placed at a height between 41 mm and 171 mm, to accommodate multiple case designs. The tempered glass is transparent except along opaque sections meant to disperse the light. With the lighting off entirely, the glass can all but vanish, if that is your preferred aesthetic.

Coming to the new fans, the SF120M ARGB features Cooler Master anti-vibration motor and damping frame structure, which is combined with a dual ball-bearing design to enable silent operation. With the use of industrial grade materials, the fan will also be efficient, durable, and stable as the ball-bearing design means its lifespan will not be dependent on mounting orientation. There are 18 addressable RGB LEDs in the fan, with six in the inner ring and the remaining 12 in the outer frame. Providing a contrast to the appearance of the spinning fans, the Cooler Master logo on the center hub remains static. These fans will be available for purchase in March, starting at an MSRP of $34.99.

If your preference is for a different kind of look for case fans, there is also the MasterFan MF120 Prismatic with its tri-loop ARGB lighting. The light rings on both sides of the fan feature a crystalized appearance to disperse the light in and outside of your case. There are 24 LEDs uniformly placed around the loops and another six on the fan hub. To keep dust out and lubricant in, a two-tier sealing design is used around the motor to make sure the lifespan is as long as possible. It too will be available in March, but with an MSRP of $29.99. Both this and the SF120M ARGB fan are compatible with Asus Aura, ASRock RGB, and MSI RGB motherboards.
