9800pro Oc

do u guys think it is safe to oc my radeon 9800 pro to speeds of 400/365 with no modified cooling on the vid card??

yea sure...jsut makes sure you good air flow in the case and all should be well...unless you see artifacts of somekind then jsut tone it down a notch.

yeah it will be fine just don't overclock it that high at first boost it up a little test it for a day then boost it up some more and do the same thing over and over till you see artifacts then back it back down and put it between where you last set it and where it was set before that.

ok thx so ur saying not to just oc it to 400/365 right away do it like 10 mhz each day?

Mine is at 423/369 with no problems. I think it still has a bit more left in her.

do you have any extra cooling on that ccokeman? Because i have one fan that blows onto my vid card or do you not have anything. heres pic of it.

Get the VGA Silencer for it, you won't regret it man its beautiful! (and HUGE!)

As far as your cooling now, it should be fine, just look out for artifacts... if you get any lower the oc and continue... you should be fine though, I'm running xt speeds completely stable :D

and another vote for the vga cooler....

use the atitool by W1zzard to find out your max stable 0 artifacting o/c
