dling Posted May 29, 2020 I'm trying to purchase "the two Colonels " via steam. I cant because I deleted Metro Exodus and its needed to install the second part. The problem is I dont remember where I purchased the first and dont want to re-buy again. Any suggestions to a work around ?
ir_cow Posted May 29, 2020 You probably bought it on Epic Store since it was an exclusive. Though i dont remember epic linking to steam. Ubisoft does for sure.
dling Posted May 29, 2020 That's what I was thinking. My epic account is jacked up. Cant log in. Go to forgot password, get the message we sent you a link to reset. I never get the email. Contacted support. There support sucks. I give all the info they ask for then get the same question for another support person. After doing it 3 times I told them they suck at their job and gave up. Braegnok Posted May 29, 2020 (edited) You can try "Restore from Steam library" or a few other options on EaseUS site, see if that works. https://www.easeus.com/file-recovery/restore-lost-steam-game-file.html If you can't recover deleted game, you need to re-buy the game, Steam has it on sale now. Guest_Jim_* Posted May 30, 2020 GOG also has it on sale, for a little less than Steam too, if you have an account there.
dling Posted May 30, 2020 Thanks guys. I'm not willing to purchase the game again just to play the second part. I give up.
dling Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) I was able to finally get my epic account worked out. I now have downloaded metro exodus. In order to play The Two Colones or Sam's Story will I have to play the whole game over again ? Or are they stand alone ? Edited June 10, 2020 by dling
Guest_Jim_* Posted June 10, 2020 They are stand alone and you access them via the Chapters menu.
dling Posted June 10, 2020 That's great. Didn't want to play the whole game again. Although it is a great game.
dling Posted October 24, 2020 Just finished the DLC Sam's Story. It was great. The story is very good and those zombies scare the crap out of me which makes it more fun to play. Highly recommend if you haven't given it a play.
ir_cow Posted October 25, 2020 Someday I'll find time to play the DLC, thanks for info. DLCs rarely get any post-launch information like if it is good, meh or flat out bad.

It isn't that you cannot get a review key, but it seems less likely for there to be a call for key requests, or for them to just be sent out to people on the appropriate list. For the Metro Exodus DLC, I did request and receive them, but it was also weird with the first one because I wanted to wait until I could cover them both. Well, sort of. That was one of my plans but as I think about it now, at the time The Two Colonels released, I was busy with other things, so it became a review for both together, then a separate review for each. That is the situation now with the DOOM Eternal DLC, except I bought it instead of receiving a key. I'm too busy at the moment to cover it, so I'll wait and hopefully will have more time when the second part releases.
