Cougar Releases Ranger Gaming Sofa

When you are going to be gaming for long hours, or just sitting at your computer all day, being comfortable becomes a necessity, which is why many companies produce gaming chairs designed just for that use. Cougar, maker of various computer components and peripherals including the Conquer 2 case, ranked as the top case by red454, has added to its list of products the Ranger gaming sofa. Instead of just being a racing-styled chair with gaming design, which Cougar does also make, the Ranger is a sofa with a reclining mechanism that can lean you back from 95º to 160º. Sometimes you are not playing but watching a game, or just want to take a nap. Naturally the sofa also has a foldable footrest to compliment the reclined back.

Designed for all kinds of video games, the Ranger has both a headrest and lumbar support for optimal comfort and uses breathable premium PVC leather for those long sessions. The upholstery features a diamond check pattern and the Ranger is available in four colors. Cougar's signature orange is what you will find for the standard Ranger, while the Ranger PS changes out the orange for blue; the Ranger XB gives you green; Ranger EVA is for those who want pink; and lastly the Ranger Royal will use gold. All of these versions use black as the base color and the Ranger Royal will be available starting in July.

No matter the version though, the Ranger is made from premium materials, including steel frame. This allows the sofa to hold as much as 160 Kb, or 352.73 pounds, while it only weighs in at 31 Kg (68.34 pounds). The Ranger is not a small piece of furniture, being 98 cm x 74 cm when not reclined. In its upright position, it is 102.5 cm tall with 40 cm of that being from the floor to the base of the seat, leaving the rest for the back. Whether you are tall or short, knowing these heights can be important to determining how comfortable you might be. The seat depth is 60 cm and the width between the arms is 48 cm.

Being a sofa, the Ranger has four feet that will keep it stationary, so you will likely want to position it wisely as you will not just be able to push off the ground to roll over to a different screen or system. If you will need something more resembling an office chair or other gaming chairs, Cougar still has you covered with its Armor series, Argo, and Fusion chairs. These chairs are all on casters, allowing you to be mobile when you need to be, and between the different versions, you can find a number of features. The Fusion is designed for greater comfort with its body-embracing design and extra-long armrests while the Argo features a breathable mesh design so air and easily move through the back and seat. With the Armor series of chairs, you have the Armor, Armor S, Armor One, Armor Titan, Armor Pro, and Armor Titan Pro to look at. All of these include head and lumbar pillows and the backs can recline to 170º or 180º. The Armor, Armor S, Armor Titan, and Armor Titan Pro all have 4D adjustable arm rests while the Armor Pro is only 3D adjustable, and the Armor One 2D adjustability. They all feature an advanced tilt mechanism, though it is the two versions of the Armor Titan Pro that also have advanced function.
