Guest_Jim_* Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Codemasters, the developers behind racing games such as F1 2019, DiRT Rally 2.0, and GRID have announced they are acquiring Slightly Mad Studios, the developers of the Project CARS games. Slightly Mad Studios has also developed two Need for Speed games for EA, besides its own IP and there is an unannounced Hollywood blockbuster title coming to Codemaster's portfolio via this acquisition as well. With Slightly Mad Studios joining Codemasters, the latter is going to clearly be a global powerhouse in creating racing titles, between Codemaster's 30 years and Slight Mad Studio's 10 years of experience. Both Frank Sagnier, CEO of Codemasters Group plc, and Ian Bell, Founder and CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, will remain in their positions.
