Guest_Jim_* Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 For some, mechanical keyboards are the only way to go with the nice action of their switches, but it is not as simple as just purchasing a one to get the experience. There are a multitude of switch types with each offering a different action and feel, so you want to get the kind you want before spending your money on one of these premium keyboards. Logitech, however, has decided to address this by announcing the Pro X Mechanical Gaming Keyboard under its Logitech G brand as its switches can be removed and swapped. The three main switch types are linear, tactile, and clicky with linear featuring a straight vertical action for the entire stroke. Tactile switches have a bump on them so as you press down you can feel when you activate the switch. Clicky switches also have the bump but also another component that will produce a click when depressed. With the Pro X you would be able to freely switch between Logitech's GX switches for whatever action you want. The Logitech Pro X has a tenkeyless design and will be priced at $149.99 with packs of replacement switches at $49.99. The similar Logitech Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard that has non-swappable clicky switches will be $129.99. The keyboards should be available this month.
