ir_cow Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I never heard of memory dimms damaging a board. But I guess it us possible, if they are removed while the system is on.
Braegnok Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 (edited) Bad ram won't damage your motherboard, your system will not post and will beep a checksum error. Ram is not meant to be hot-swapped on a consumer board. Hot-swapping memory would make an interesting review Isaiah,.. rereiniew Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 (edited) Have you checked the CPU socket for bent pins? Or the RAM slots for damage? The RAM itself wont usually damage a motherboard, unless it does walmartone physical damage installing, but a computer wont boot without any RAM/broken RAM. Thanks Rereiniew Edited September 21, 2019 by rereiniew to make it better.
