Guest_Jim_* Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 It took the extreme cooling of liquid nitrogen, but overclocker Toppc has set a new record for DDR4 RAM speed, crossing the 6000 MHz barrier to 6016.8 MHz. This was achieved using G.Skill DDR4 Trident Z Royal memory in an MSI MPG Z390I Gaming Edge AC with an Intel Core i9-9900K. Just three months ago at Computex the same overclocker set the record of DDR4 5886 MHz at the G.Skill booth, but he was clearly not satisfied with that. The CPU-Z Validator information shows us the CPU was running with just two cores and two threads, and a frequency of 816.21 MHz while the memory had timings of 31-63-63-63.
