Will a high fsb(like 270) kill in the long run my Ultra-D?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My question is simple. Please disregard the impact high fsb has on ram(will use a divider) and tell me if a high fsb will damage my DFI NF4 mobo itself. Is it safe to be running 270fsb 24/7?

thanks

It will not damage the motherboard. I believe the FSB is the communication speed between the Northridge and the CPU.

Just like anything, if you apply enough voltage it will kill that part. I really don't remeber what the stock voltage was or where to change it. We are talking pre 2008. Over 12 years.

Should be safe, fsb does not effect voltage as far as I know, worst that can happen if too high pc will not boot or will bluescreen during use, then it's time to lower it.
