Guest_Jim_* Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 At gamescom the Creative Director for Borderlands 3 shared a couple challenge modes you can encounter in the upcoming title, as you explore the solar system and advance the campaign. The first is the Circle of Slaughter, sponsored by the weapons manufacturer Torgue, which is well known for its explosives. Enemies will be sent at you in five rounds with multiple waves in each round, all while Mister Torgue himself watches on, providing his own colorful commentary. To show off you can complete bonus objectives, and if you want to pander to your audience, using grenades is hardly going to be a bad idea. The second challenge area shared is the Proving Grounds, which is run by an Eridian known as the Overseer. The goal is to test your mettle for the Overseers masters by rushing through maps with three areas and defeating a boss, all in 30 minutes or less. Better times and efficient will get you better bounties, and completing bonus objectives will also improve your reward. Borderlands 3 will be launching on September 13.
