The Division 2 Getting Episode 1 Content Update at End of July

Recommended Posts

Ubisoft has revealed what players of The Division 2 can expect with its Episode 1 – DC Outskirts: Expeditions content. Those with the Year 1 pass will get access on July 23 and then all players will have access July 30. With this update the game gets two new main missions, with one to hunt down traitor President Andrew Ellis at Camp White Oak, and the other going after Emeline Shaw, the leader of the Outcasts faction at Manning National Zoo. From the zoo, Shaw hopes to regain her strength and take power in the city again.

In addition to the new missions, Expeditions are being introduced as Agents receive a message from a military convoy at Kenly College. An expedition is formed to find and rescue any survivors of the convoy. There are three different wings to Expeditions for players to complete, with each having its own theme and tone, opened to players on a weekly basis. Completing all three wings unlocks access to an exclusive treasure room.

For those more interested in the loot of the game, the Diamondback Rifle, an exotic weapon, BTSU Datagloves, a piece of exotic gear, and the Stoner LMG and Carbine 7 are coming. The crafting system will be improved to allow players to craft up to Gear Score 500, share blueprints across characters, and crafted weapons will be able to be recalibrated. The Operation Dark Hours Raid is also getting a new Discovery difficulty, to allow more players to experience it. The raid's exotic loot will remain exclusive to the Normal difficulty though. Lastly, two new Classified Assignments are coming for the Year 1 Pass holders, taking them to Washington's Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13.
