Epic Holding Epic Mega Sale in Epic Games Store

Recommended Posts

Since launching the Epic Games Store, Epic has been trying to bring people to its storefront using various tactics. These tactics include giving away a free game every two weeks since the platform launched and securing exclusivity deals, which have riled many. Now it has launched its Epic Mega Sale that may also bring some customers to it. With this sale, developers and publishers are discounting some games up to 75% off, but apparently Epic was not satisfied with just that as all games priced at $14.99 or more are getting an additional $10 taken off. This is coming at a cost to Epic and not the publisher or developer and is applied to all games, including those on sale, provided the sale price is above $14.99.

If you are already a customer of the Epic Game Store and have purchased a game since May 2, now wishing you had waited for the lower price, do not worry as you will be refunded the difference in price in the next 7 to 12 days. If you pre-purchased a game prior to the sale and it has not launched yet, you will receive a $10 refund, if its price is above $14.99.

The Epic Mega Sale ends on June 13 and even if you are not going to purchase anything, you may still want to check it out once a week. Epic has decided to modify its free game every two weeks to instead be a free game every week for the length of the sale. The first of these is Stories Untold, starting today.
