Guest_Jim_* Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I think I can safely say a number of people have been looking forward to this information being released. The recommended specifications for Metro Exodus have been shared, so you can see start planning out if you need to upgrade a component. Actually the minimum requirements do not look too bad, so you might be able to manage even with an older system, but you might be limited to the Low settings. There is a graphic showing the specs and their corresponding configuration, covering 1080p30 up to 2160p60, but that Extreme configuration will take an Intel Core i9 9900K with an RX 2080 Ti to achieve. At the low end (1080p30), you can get going with just 2 GB of VRAM on a GeForce GTX 670, GTX 1050, or a Radeon HD 7870. It will be interesting to see how well the game's performance will scale with these older graphics cards. Unfortunately no AMD CPUs are listed, but you can hopefully make a fair guess from the Intel processors listed. Of course if you want to use the Ray Traced Global Illumination effects, you will need to run not just Windows 10 build 1809 but also use a GeForce RTX 20 series GPU, as the game makes use of DirectX 12 DXR and NVIDIA's RTX tecnologies. We can expect RTX-specific performance profiles in the near future. Metro Exodus releases on February 15.
