Guest_Jim_* Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 While part of the fun of building your own computer comes from how powerful it is, for some it is also making sure it looks good. To that end, Corsair has announced various PC enthusiast accessories including individually sleeved cables, a PCIe extension cable, and even some performance thermal paste. For those interested in individually sleeved power supply cables, Corsair is offing a Starter kit and Pro kit. Both support all Type 4 Corsair PSUs and use premium paracord for the cladding with heatshrink-less connectors and pre-installed modular 24-pin and 8-pin cable combs. The Starter kit has only the ATX 24 pin, one EPS12V/ATX12V, and two PCIe single cables. The Pro kit includes those cables along with a second EPS12V/ATX12V cable, two PCIe Dual cables, two SATA power cables, and two Peripheral cables. If you only need specific cables though, they are also available separately. Corsair is not limiting the sleeved cables to just power supply cables as it is also offering a Front Panel Extension kit and sleeved SATA data cables, and these will be available in black, red, white, and blue. The extension cables are 30 cm long and the SATA cables are for SATA III/6 Gbps. Though not sleeved, Corsair has also announced its Premium PCIe 3.0 x16 Extension Cable. Such an extension cable is necessary for vertically mounting a graphics card, as some cases like Corsair's own 275R and 500D, allow. With this the vertically mounted GPU can still be connected to the PCIe port on the motherboard without compromising on bandwidth. Lastly, Corsair has announced its TM30 Performance Thermal Paste is now available and can be used with both CPU and GPU coolers. It is a zinc-oxide based compound, optimized for ultra-low thermal impedance. It also has a low viscosity, to fill the microscopic abrasions on a CPU's HIS and cooler's cold plate, and should last for years without drying, cracking, or a change in consistency. All of these products are available immediately from Corsair's network of retailers and directly from its webstore. The premium cables are backed by a two-year warranty as well.
