Hi im thinking on doing this to my gpu, but im worried about if its safe for 24/7 or not
I know that liquid metal is going to damage my card, so i want to try soldering tin on the 0M5-0M2=R002-R005 shunts

Do i have to solder both? or i can do on one instead? what is the difference in them? Someone made that of this way?

I saw a lot of ways of doing this like, soldering resistors to the voltage chip controller, but seems hard to do and i dont want to break my gpu
So thanks for every advice and sorry for my bad english, this is not my native language

My current oc settings are 2050mhz max on core and 8858 on mem, on afterburner my voltage is everytime my limitant

I don't like to link other sites but I think Gamers Nexus has a good video / article about overclocking a Titan V. The process is the same for basically all the Volta, Turing and Pascal cards.  https://www.gamersne...rclocks-titan-v

On overclockers someone did a ASUS 1070 mod https://www.overcloc...-to-1070-ti-mod

Personally I do not recommend shunt mod for long term use. Unless you are trying to set a record of some kind, you will most likely kill the card or extremely shorten the GPU silicon life for very little performance boost. I think Shunt mods gets watercooling to about 2300 and LN2 Kingpin did 2650. On air you are lucky to pass 2200 without some major heat problems.

Than you have the problem of not being able to read the voltage properly anymore and having to use a mutli-meter to make sure your aren't feeding like 1.5v into the card.

Very cool vid  ."https://www.gamersne...clocks-titan-v"

Im not sure that It would be good to do all that and risk killing the card for something for what he described as a short term fix

I guess theres a bright side, if you kill your card thats a good excuse to buy a new one. ;)

Haha Right? also liquid metal will destroy the shunt over time. The real modders solder a resistor over it.

If you afraid to damage the GPU then the shunt mod is not for you. However the links noted above are a pretty good start. The overclocks you are running are pretty solid clock speeds. Not sure you would gain enough for full time use to make it worth your while.
