Guest_Jim_* Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Today IO Interactive released an update for the game that also added some more graphics settings, so I decided to go back in and try them out to amend the minimum acceptable options for them. Here are the patch notes (the graphics changes are near the bottom under PC Specific Improvements): HITMAN 2 - Game Update 2.12. Here are my conclusions very quickly, if you do not want to watch the video. (Can't say I blame you, I hate the sound of my own voice too.) The new options are Screenspace Shadows, Reflection Quality, Motion Blur, Dynamic Sharpening, and Simulation Quality. Here are my minimum acceptable conclusions:Screenspace Shadows Offwhen I finally found an example of the impact, it did not seem visually significant) Reflection Quality LowI don't think you want these Off, so go with Low. Medium and High are both visually better, but minimum acceptable is Low. Medium and High also have an artifact to them related to movement but I am not too worried about it. Motion Blur Personal ChoiceI believe Motion Blur is always a personal choice and here I could not spot a difference between it on and off, but that could be based on where I was looking and my comfort with it being off Dynamic Sharpening OffI honestly could not spot the difference between this being off or enabled at any setting. Maybe you can, in which case change the setting as appropriate. Simulation Quality Leave AloneThis setting says it will auto-detect the appropriate option based on your CPU core count and I suspect it is best to let it do this. It takes restarting maps and new saves (the option is stored in save files) to change between and I did not deeply test it.
