Looking for insight for etched lighted plexi window

Toying with the idea of etching a design into a plexi case window and edge lighting it but can't seem to find anything that's been done before to help figure out a good way to do this.

 

Any help would be great.

There are some different ways to do it without having access to a Co2 laser cutter, using etching cream, acetone, but tracing over the image using a cordless dremel seems about the easiest way,.. and using LED strips or light tape.

 

Sounds like a fun DIY project.

Gave the dremel idea a go and it came out great.

Next will be ordering a red led strip.
