Guest_Jim_* Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 When the Kaby Lake G CPU+GPU packages were released, undoubtedly many saw them as a means of making gaming systems without being hot and heavy, but video games are not the only applications that need performance and a preference for smaller packages. Dell has shown off new Precision 2-in-1 5530 mobile workstations that will use a Kaby Lake-G CPU paired with a Radeon Pro WX Vega M GL GPU. As Radeon Pro GPUs, these are qualified to run professional applications and will use the appropriate drivers for the professionals who need them, and need them outside the office. Not only that, but as a convertible, the laptops also support 10-point multitouch on their FHD or UHD displays. The UHD version can cover 100% of the AdobeRGB gamut while the FHD is apparently only for 100% sRGB. Anandtech lists two base configurations, with the one using the 1920x1080 display offering the Core i5-8305G processor while version with the 3840x2160 display will have either the i7-8706G or i7-8705G. (The difference being the 8706G supports Intel vPro Technology while the i7-8705G does not.) The i5-8305G has a base clock of 2.8 GHz and a boost of 3.8 GHz while the i7-8705G/i7-8706G has a base of 3.1 GHz and boost of 4.1 GHz.
