Guest_Jim_* Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 For many of us, the interest in the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs will be in discrete graphics cards we can install into our current computers. For those who want something pre-built with Turing inside, Acer has announced they are coming to its Predator Orion series of gaming desktops. The Predator Orion 3000, 5000, and 9000 will all offer these new cards. The Orion 3000 targets those users looking to enter the world of serious PC gaming and so will come with an RTX 2070 paired with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU. You can also get it with up to 64 GB of DDR4 2666 RAM and 32 GB of Intel Optane memory. The Orion 5000 stands a bit higher with the RTX 2080 being the GPU it offers and up to the Core i7 8700K CPU. Its chassis features a transparent side panel to show off what you have inside and IceTunnel 2.0 airflow management to keep those parts. If you need still more power than that, the Orion 9000 delivers it with up to an RTX 2080 Ti and up to the Intel Core i9 7980XE processor with its 18 cores and 36 threads. It too uses IceTunnel 2.0 to manage heat. The exact specifications, pricing, and availability of these gaming desktops may vary by region, so you will likely want to check Acer's Predator website for the most accurate information.
