Guest_Jim_* Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Last week it was leaked and this week it was announced, RAGE 2 has had some information published on Bethesda's site, telling us more about what will be going on in this sequel. You will be playing as Walker, the last Ranger of Vineland, fighting against the tyrannical Authority on an Earth devastated by an asteroid. Pockets of humanity survived and formed factions that now fight over what resources remain. Though still a Bethesda game, RAGE 2 is being developed by id Software in association with Avalanche Studios, the developers behind the Just Cause series and Mad Max game from 2015. When asked on Twitter, Christofer Sundberg of Avalanche stated the game will use Apex, which is Avalanche's engine and makes some sense as the desire is to combine the FPS pedigree of id with the open world sandbox experience Avalanche and its engine are known for. RAGE 2 is expected to in 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, giving you access to the wealth of weapons and Nanotrite abilities. These abilities are unique to Rangers, like Walker, and will allow you to push your upgradeable weapons into Overdrive to tip battles in your favor, or to just have more fun with your enemies.
