Today a new trailer is out for the upcoming game Biomutant, an open world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG. This trailer is from the PC Gamer Weekender and shows off some of the gameplay that can be expected when the game launches later this year. The title is promising a new take on third-person combat as it grants the player freedom of movement while they mix together shooting, melee, and abilities from their mutations in the martial arts style combat system. The game will also allow you to recode your genetic structure to alter the way you look and play, enabling you to literally evolve your gameplay. Besides the mutations allowing you to control how you play, the crafting system will let you mix and match parts to build unique single and double handed melee weapons for slashing, crushing, or piercing your foes. The game's story concerns the a plague destroying the land as the Tree of Life is bleeding death from its roots, leaving the Tribes divided and in need of someone to unite them, or bring them down. On your journey, you will get to explore the open world and what lies beneath its surface with mechs, jet skis, air balloons, and by foot.
Biomutant is scheduled to release some time 2018 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
