slick2500 Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 I was trying to decide what to do with all my new found money and was like well my pc is 4 years old and there are some new titles I can't play I'll build a new computer. Boy was I wrong, right now is a terrible time to buy a new computer with the price of ram and video cards constantly going up it makes so sense. Welp looks like I'll just have to buy some more radio controlled toys. Been really wanting an Axial SCX10 II kit.
ir_cow Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Just like any money, make sure you have it in hand before spending. Bitcoins and other cryto in generally can be killer one day and worthless the next. I wouldn't spend anything until you have the money in the bank. Oh yeah, I am going to wait until I either have it as bitcoin in my wallet or cash in the bank before I start spending. Doesn't mean I can't window shop lol Edited January 30, 2018 by slick2500
scr4wl Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 You can also just spend it directly on goods as long as you keep record of it. I just traded a little xmr for a FirePro S9150, and a bit of eth for another gtx 1070. This counts as capital gains (or loss), so just keep records of what you do with it. You can convert your fldc to btc. Some companies (newegg, dish, overstock) accept btc. You can exchange btc for usd in a variety of ways. People though, will also accept crypto in exchange for other things. I recently bought parts with xmr and eth. Didn't convert anything, just paid a guy in eth for a card, and a different guy in xmr. I've bought none computer related goods directlty with crypto as well. Just gotta ask, sometimes people will surprise you.
