Guest_Jim_* Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 NVIDIA has announced a new GPU based on its Volta architecture targeting those working in AI, deep learning, and high performance computing; the TITAN V. The TITAN V can reach 110 Tflops, nine times that of the its predecessor, and part of that is thanks to the its new Tensor Cores. The GPU also features independent paths for integer and floating-point data, improving efficiency when the workload involves a mix of computation and addressing calculations. A combined L1 data cache and shared memory unit also boost performance while simplifying programming. The GPU is fabricated on TSMC's new 12 nm FFN process and is fed by 12 GB of HBM2 memory with a tuned memory subsystem for improved bandwidth utilization. Dynamic Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I seriously cannot wait for the Volta GPU's to arrive. Man this Titan V is fast compared to Titan Xp and 1080Ti. I think the next series is getting a $50-250 price hike. Maybe Titan A at $1500 and a 2080Ti releasing 8 months later at $999 ? Also don't take anything I say are fact, I ask merely guessing based on HBM2 prices, GDD6 and the current shortage of GPUS.
