Guest_Jim_* Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Today we got a new trailer for Far Cry 5 showing off some co-op gameplay, along with some details on how it will work. Once you complete the game's tutorial you will be free to call in a friend to play with you at any point in the campaign. This friend will take the place of one of your two 'Guns for Hire' or 'Fangs for Hire' buddies. While you and a friend can play through the game together, only the host player will get to keep their story progress. Also any quest-given loot will only be unlocked for the host player, but everything else, including cash, loot, guns, and perks will be kept by the friend. Co-op will be restricted to your friends list, so there will not be an random matchmaking, and you can disable the feature if you want to a solo experience. Far Cry 5 is set to release February 27, 2018 for PC, and all versions of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
