RealSlimShady Posted May 15, 2001 Posted May 15, 2001 Is the GlobalWin CAK38 any good? Does anyone know if it is load?
jodynicH Posted May 16, 2001 Posted May 16, 2001 I think it is a good one, I want one to test out myself, anyways, you can go to www.hardocp.com and click on heatsink roundup and look at a few to get an idea of what you want.
Guest GAbOS Posted June 27, 2001 Posted June 27, 2001 What are you going to put it on? And what clocks are you expecting or wanting to hit. for 20 bucks you cant beat the Taisol cgk 74 series HSF's The fan that comes with it is a low profile and quite if thats your bag. I put a delta Black on mine and it keeps my Duron 600@1027 happy all day.
Guest Jack31081 Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 I just put my CAK38 in yesterday on my 1.2Ghz T-Bird and it runs at 31 degrees idle and 38 degrees under load. And I got my proc up to 1.4Ghz without even breakin' a sweat, so I'm happy with it. I got mine from Newegg.com for 30 bucks, in case you decide to get one. Guest bmoney21 Posted August 31, 2001 Posted August 31, 2001 Whats the best cooler for a 1.4 TBird non-clocked?
Kevin Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 well i still prefer the Swiftech MC462 heatsink. It is like an over-kill cooler for the processor.

Guest Ranmaz Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 RealSlimShady: I own the globalwin FOP32 (lower end? lower version?) and it takes my 1.1GHz down to a temp of 32-36 degrees celsius. Where the retail hsf would be a temp of 65 on the same mainboard that I'm using. In other words, globalwin has/is a good name. Kevin Posted September 2, 2001 Posted September 2, 2001 how come your fop32 can bring the 1.1 beast to 32-36C? i am using fop38 on athlon 1 GHz which idle at 44C. more over, i mod my case so that i can put 4X120mm and each output is 92cfm.
