scr4wl Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 (edited) An image and a clone are different. A clone is a 1 to 1 copy. What you experienced with your clone is the metadata of the old filesystem reporting the smaller disk space. You can extend this to use the remaining space. An image is essentially an archive, that can later be used to make a copy. What you want is to clone and then extend the filesystem. This can all be done completely free with the dd command off any linux live drive, or whatever windows software you want to use.
