DarkScorpion Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I dont know if this goes in cooling or overclocking, but here's my question: Has anyone achived better video core overclock by putting a fan on the backside of their video card? I have a 60mm fan sitting around and I need to find a use for it...
InvaderTrax Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 You mean the side without the heatsink? I'm pretty sure that wouldn't make any difference. Probably .01 degrees C

cyberpc04 Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Acctually I had an MSI Ti4200VTDR 128mb that had a single copper plate that cooled the memory and touched a small half inch square on the backside of the GPU. It got quite hot and there was a noticable change in temp. if the plate wasn't on there. I added a fan to the backside and it helped by about 3-4c. Not all cards have a spot on the backside of the GPU that you would be able to put a hs though.
