CheeseMan42 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Kingston has announced a pair of new encrypted flash drives with the IronKey D300 and D300 Managed edition. The drives use 256-bit AES encryption in XTS mode that has been FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified. The zinc enclosure is waterproof to four feet and includes an epoxy seal to make it clear when the drive has been tampered with. The drives require a complex password protocol that will reformat the drive after 10 incorrect password attempts. Digitally signed firmware helps to protect against the BadUSB malware. Kingston flash business manager Ken Campbell described the new drives, stating "We leveraged Kingston’s history of delivering high-quality Flash memory products with IronKey’s trusted reputation in the encrypted storage industry to create a strong, reliable USB Flash drive that will last for years to come." DataLocker CEO Jay Kim added "The IronKey D300 and D300 Managed Encrypted USB Flash Drives are two more tools that allow us to safeguard our customers' sensitive data with the most advanced level of security." The drives will be available in capacities ranging from 4GB to 128GB. Source: Press Release Back to original news post
