Assassin X Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I could put it in my old system. Just need to setup the power first. Good idea. I installed Win 7 on a new WD Black HD in the mean time. No issues so far. The power issues and other stuff seemed to stop to now. I think what lead to this was origianly was during the install disk for the motherboard, computer had shut down on accident. Maybe itz what messed up the Ssd and made the pc crazy acting. For future refrence how do I stop my old WD with WIN 7 from trying to boot up instead of the new one? Can I delete the Windows folder from the old HD? I'll let you know how the SSD test goes. Thanks for the help so far.
SpikeSoprano Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Just go into the bios and make sure the wd black is your first boot drive, should solve the problem, and yes you can delete the windows folder on the second drive but it would be the hidden boot partition that is trying to make it load . Assassin X Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Tested the SSD on on my other pc and it had the same crash. So guess its dead. Thanks I'll make sure my black boots first. Anyway to remove the hidden boot partition?
SpikeSoprano Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 You have to format the drive, so if you want to save any data off it make sure to transfer it to something, you can always put it back after the format .
