Okay, I am going to call this the Nostalgia Entertainment System and I mean that with all due respect. Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing on November 11 the NES Classic Edition, a smaller version of the classic console with 30 games installed, and it will cost $59.99. It uses HDMI to connect to modern HDTVs and also comes with an AC adapter and NES Classic Controller, which you can purchase more of for $9.99. A Classic Controller Pro will also be available and sold separately. The Classic Controller can be connected to a Wii Remote controller, so you can use it to play Virtual Console NES games on a Wii or Wii U.

Now for the all-important list of games:

  • Balloon Fight™
  • BUBBLE BOBBLE
  • Castlevania™
  • Castlevania II: Simon's Quest™
  • Donkey Kong™
  • Donkey Kong Jr. ™
  • DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
  • Dr. Mario™
  • Excitebike™
  • FINAL FANTASY®
  • Galaga™
  • GHOSTS'N GOBLINS®
  • GRADIUS™
  • Ice Climber™
  • Kid Icarus™
  • Kirby's Adventure™

These are not exactly the original games, as each game will have multiple suspend points, allowing you to stop playing in the middle of levels if necessary. Bit of an upgrade from the password systems some of these games used.
