Hot on the heels of Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.2.1 comes 16.3, the latest version of AMD's new graphics driver initiative. Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3 provides support for the upcoming Hitman game, which arrives this Friday in the first of its episodic adventures. If you're planning to pick up the newest way to step into the shoes of Agent 47 and own an AMD card, Crimson Editon 16.3 is the driver for you. It also has an updated CrossFire profile for Hitman and The Park, a first-person horror game released late last year. AMD also has some better performance figures in Rise of the Tomb Raider and Gears of War Ultimate Edition compared to Crimson Edition 16.2/16.2.1, with Rise of the Tomb Raider seeing a 16% bump on Fury X hardware and Gears of War 60% on Fury X and 44% on R9 380 cards.

Along with the gaming side of things, Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3 adds support for the new Vulkan API, much like NVIDIA's latest GeForce drivers; Eyefinity with just two displays instead of three; a status indicator for CrossFire that provides a visual indicator on the desktop when running CrossFire; per-game display scaling; and more. Various issues are also fixed in the new driver, while some other issues are highlighted so users can be aware if they happen.
