Two identical hard drives different speeds.

Recommended Posts

Few days ago i bought two (2) WDC WD5003AZEX they are ''almost'' identical.
Almost because on speed i see a big different.

Firmware is the same.

Used Space is the same.
I have tested the slowest hard drive with few other motherboard sata ports and wires with the same results.

That's not enough difference to really worry about.  It's surely nothing you would notice.  Check the drive on S.M.A.R.T. and any other check disk utility and if they come back good, and if the drive isn't making noise, I wouldn't worry about it.
