ASUS Z87 Gryphon help please

Recommended Posts

Little update quick.

I managed to Flashback the Bios using the procedure from ASUS and I used the bios renamer from their site to be sure.

It flashed successfully but there is still nothing happening.

Really looks like the CPU went Fritz.

My server's hardware was in that case just before I put my Z87 in it and it was working perfectly well without any short.

The 2 motherboards are the exact same size so nothing was moved.

Submit an RMA or return the motherboard. ASUS will give you a list of things to try (which you'll already have tried from this thread). Then they'll issue an RMA.

No, because you haven't tried swapping. For you, you really have no choice because you don't have enough components to try swapping. It could be the motherboard, the CPU, or the PSU. It could also be the memory (unless you know for sure the memory sticks are good), and also the case (some short you're not aware of, but this is usually rare).

Memory was tested and it's fine.

PSU is working fine (tested).

If it was the CPU that had a problem wouldn't it cause a boot loop?
