potatochobit Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 some companies just stick a shipping label on the manufacturers box does anyone know if amazon puts TVS in another box? for TVs 40" or smaller? I called amazon and they could not figure it out... lol
El_Capitan Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I don't know, either, but I've often seen Amazon putting products with the original box in a larger Amazon-labelled shipping box.
IIxNullxII Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I get quite a few deliveries from Amazon that ship in an over case, then in an Amazon brand box. Chances are though that the TV would ship in a manufacturer box, but with delivery being by DHL special carrier for added protection. DanTheGamer11 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 When I got my monitor it was in the original box, not sure if that is because it was small or location based though.
potatochobit Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) how do most people ship used computer monitors? I always buy mine local. wait, that reminds me, I may have a DELL shipping box from long ago EDIT: looks Like DELL shipped my ultrasharp in the OEM monitor box as well I guess I am worrying too much about this Edited September 9, 2015 by potatochobit
Guest_Jim_* Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Whenever we've ordered TVs online at my house they came in the original boxes, which makes sense. The manufacturer packed them for shipping to begin with.
Waco Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Why does it matter? Amazon will handle anything if it's damaged on arrival.
potatochobit Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 it matters because when I get the new monitor I am going to ship the old one off through fed ex not sure if you saw the video of the fed ex employee throwing the HDTV last year so I did not know if I need an extra box or reuse an amazon one but I decided the best option is to ship in the manufacturer's box to lower cost but INSTEAD use the money to buy high insurance
Waco Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 You should insure what you ship regardless of how you package it.
