Nyt Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I haven't had any first hand experience with it, but IVITH0S has had quite a bit of success baking cards over the years. Maybe send him a PM and ask him about how he does it ? http://forums.overclockersclub.com/user/20152-iviyth0s/
Waco Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I've baked a few cards too. How did this one die?
get_saif Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 If its the soldering and GPU is dead, it might work. But it has to be at a certain temp. I am not sure exactly what kind of temperature allows this to recreate the broken channel. Someone else who has tried can explain. Its a luck game. Human eyes are unable detect cracks between the soldering of the board, which tend to do happen for the stress the board goes through. Baking the board will melt and re-connect the channel. SpikeSoprano Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I did it to my GTX 8800, the card worked good so I used it for about 1 month and now it is my backup/test card for other pc's.

Boinker Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Not that it will make you feel better but I feel your pain. I have a 480 that seems like its about to give up the ghost. after running 3dmark Firestrike I have suddenly lost 1000 points from my scoring. Put some more pressure on it and the card goes bat crazy for a bit. So im just hoping the ones in the locker are still up to the task. Time to break them out.
