potatochobit Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 how do most people bring their computer on a plane? yes, besides a laptop is there a good portable case that can house a full size motherboard and a huge GPU like a 290X? even then, how do you travel with a monitor? potatochobit Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) actually, I dont need to bring the case with me but will the NSA let me carry a PSU and motherboard onto the plane in a carry on? I don't plan to check luggage I guess I could even ship the parts to my destination but can I carry on a monitor? I would rather that stay in my care than let UPS or the airport bag handlers take care of it Edited June 27, 2015 by potatochobit
Boinker Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Lets just say steel would be the only way to go. As far as an atx motherboard... I will do research later but i doubt anything above Matx is probable.
Braegnok Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 You would be better off mailing your rig & monitor,.. remove cpu heat sink, graphics cards pack separately in same box ,.. and ship so you can stop at post office same day as your plane lands. I've tried boarding a plane with new in the box hardware as a carry-on ,.. trust me it's a pain,.. and they could disallow item,.. so then your missing your flight while you pack and mail item from airport.
