So... it's a rebranded rebrand of the HD 7950 (R9 285), but with 2GB instead of 3GB? I'm starting to get confused.

So... it's a rebranded rebrand of the HD 7950 (R9 285), but with 2GB instead of 3GB? I'm starting to get confused.

 

The entire R9/R7 300 series is confusing. All rebrands, all tweaked, all very odd. The R9 380 comes in both 2GB and 4GB variants to compete with both the 2GB and 4GB GTX 960.

Yes they are but they renamed the core Antigua with the new API support and feature set.

Hell I was hoping for something new with a lot more performance not a tweaked rebrand, oh well maybe next year...

That's what the Fury line will hopefully bring.

I really hope someone makes a Displayport -> HDMI 2.0 adapter, and soon. The Fury X is definitely on my radar if so.

The 380 though? It's confusing trying to keep track of which 200 series cards are better or worse. :lol:
