how do you deal with sleep paralysis?

for the past week and a half its been happening every night. I know i havnt been getting much sleep lately but is that really the culprit?

 

its pretty scary when it happens, sometimes i feel like im gonna be stuck like that for a looong time..until i finally snap out of it..so sick

nope no meds

 

did read something about not breathing properly during sleep can cause it and i have noticed waking up being really out of breath

You might want to see if you have sleep apnea. Its a killer. 

 

Exactly this. If you're waking up out of breath, could be sleep apnea. Definitely get to a doctor so they can check for sure and recommend a sleep center to confirm.

Sleep paralysis is a common symptom of sleep apnea.  I have both.

 

When I realize that I'm in a state of sleep paralysis, I try to calm down and attempt to curl my fingers and toes.  This helps me snap out of it 90% of the time.  YMMV.

I get a little of that, not bad mainly when fallening asleep I can tell a little before I am out. I have sleep apena and were a cpap it helps I fell better been using it several year

If you have overweight, could also be a problem for your breathing during sleeping.

I now wear one and do sleep much better. No more snoring LOL!
