ccokeman Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Any meds you take? Imitrex is known for causing that.

ccokeman Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 You might want to see if you have sleep apnea. Its a killer.
bp9801 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 You might want to see if you have sleep apnea. Its a killer. Exactly this. If you're waking up out of breath, could be sleep apnea. Definitely get to a doctor so they can check for sure and recommend a sleep center to confirm.
Kiro Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Sleep paralysis is a common symptom of sleep apnea. I have both. When I realize that I'm in a state of sleep paralysis, I try to calm down and attempt to curl my fingers and toes. This helps me snap out of it 90% of the time. YMMV.

NCC10281982B Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I've had this once or twice. I suspect alcohol withdrawal was a factor. I had to kind of "reboot" my brain a few times.

WarWeeny Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 If you have overweight, could also be a problem for your breathing during sleeping.
