IVIYTH0S Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) I got the card but now my laptop will not post with it installed. Wait...you don't have a Lenovo per chance do you? Yes its a lenovo. Everything I have seen says I am screwed. Yeeeeup, had a feeling. Lenovo is retarded and whitelists all but their allowed wifi cards. Apparently you can bios mod this restriction off at your own risk. I learned this when i tried to upgrade my sister's Lenovo's wifi card to my old one that had bluetooth...I was speechless at the idiocy, and such will never own a Lenovo while they continue such asinine behavior. Maybe contact Lenovo and find out what wifi cards will work and see if they aren't overpriced out the ass OR look into modding the bios to remove the limitation if you're brave. If some one would be willing to Pm me info about the bios trick I would appreciate it.
