Need a Sound Bar

I'm looking for an inexpensive sound bar to increase the volume and clarity of voices when I'm watching TV. I don't need a subwoofer so 2.0 is fine. This looks ok  http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9079972&CatId=4597.

Has anyone had any experiences with this one or any recommendations?

I have looked at the same soundbarr myself as I am in the market for one. The speakers on my 5-year-old LG HD TV are starting to break up.

That's a better deal but I'm a little gun shy after reading the reviews concerning Soundbars and if I'm not satified it's easy to return to the Tigerdirect nearby. I also saw this one that seemed promising.

Polk makes good stuff - highly effieient voice coils - and that is a damn good price.

I looked up the specs nd it does have a digital input but no mention if the cable is included.

The free shipping is a plus.

A friend of mine has a Costo card so I may get it.

Man I would go with the Polk. I have never heard a Polk product that I didn't like.

FYI: top of the line speakers include Martin Logan, Klipsch, JBL, Infinity, Polk and Cerwin-Vega - pretty much in that order. There are lots and lots of speakers out there that are O/K but break down sooner or later (mostly sooner) because of inferior or poor quality. About 6 months ago I bought a Logitec 2.1 PC sound system - Z313 - sounded good but I just replaced the desktop speakers because they were breaking up. I found 2 used, small Sony speakers that weigh about 5 pounds each and they really sound good. Just goes to show tht you get what you pay for. Also, any speakers listed as 4 ohm are at the low end as the voice coil windings are 1/2 to 1/3 of a decent speaker and jst don't have the response because the cone material is much thinner.

for the $100 price tag I own that vizio sound bar and I love it for watching tv or bluetoothing my phones or tablet to it while playing youtube but since it doesnt have a sub it does seem a lil flat for some music

if u just care about voice and television news a sound bar is fine

I don't personally like them, though

polk is a good brand, m-audio, klipsch

stay away from bose things

Thanks for all the great advise. I bought the Vizo S3820w-CO and it seems to be more than enough for my bedroom TV. If I was going to use it for games or big movies I would probably get a better system.

yup mine is on my bedroom tv also I have an older sharp 27" lcd tv in there and the sound is horrid on it so thats why I bought mine
