How big is too big for a desktop gaming monitor?

Hi!

 

I'd like to know what size you can get to before you start having problems with a monitor, specifically not being able to see everything in your prehiphreal vision.

EDIT: I'm referring to a desk situation where I'm sitting about 2 - 4 feet away from the monitor.

I'd say it depends on teh size of your desk. I have a 23 and things are a bit cramped.

Thanks. I'm actually using a medium sized kitchen table for the "desk".

I've been using a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor for a few years. No issues for me.

I think a 22 or 24" would be just fine for you.

I ran a 42" for a LOOOONG time (2007 till this year). It was awesome for gaming!

I sit 1-2 feet from a 30" 2560x1600, no problems.

 

Resolution and distance are key... 2-4 feet means you can go pretty big, just dont sacrifice resolution using something like a low-res tv

I had a 40" for awhile. Would still consider going back even after having three monitors for a few years now.

I use a 24 inch and sit about 18 inches away from it , I tried a 32 inch at that distance and found it not as easy on my eyes, I think size is up to the person, if you enjoy larger size go for it.
