How often does your main computer get rebooted?

Whenever I leave the computer for more than 1H, I just shut it off. Already have a server running 24/7. Don't need that power bill to raise during Florida's summer heat haha.

When updates require it or after some software installs (old habits die hard).

 

Several of you guys turn your PCs off out of fear. Although my OC are always very mild for long term purposes, my 2 PCs stay on 24/7/365, (barring the above mentioned times)

I also FOLD all the time, usually on both but right now only on one, so it's not like they're on and sitting idle.

I guess I've been lucky, but really mostly don't need to reboot I have come home to a rebooted PC once or twice, and that makes me nervous, as I am currently without a battery backup/surge protector!

On average I take my system down for a reboot about once a month.

Updates or power outage is the only time for me unless the overclocking bug has bit me and I am testing crashing rebooting ect...

I use mine as a media center and for some odd reason if I switch from my tv to my monitor then back to my tv, after having the tv shut off, I have to restart my system to get sound to come out of the tv again.

My main rig is also video survellamce server or recorder so it stays in stock clocks but is water cooled 980x... Folding rigs only one currently never gets a reboot or updates...

I don't leave my PC on overnight, nor if I know I'll be out of the house for an extended period of time.

Only when updates oer software install/uninstalls require it, which is around monthly these days.

i shutdown nightly but if there's something that needs to be updated, or i know imma be gone for a few hours, then i go ahead and reboot or turn it all off...

No reason to leave it running usually so it gets shut down when I'm done with it.

 

The server stays on 24/7 unless I'm away for an extended period with Amanda.

I have gone months without a restart before. My average for restarting is around 3-4 weeks.
