dling Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) Is this card really worth the extra bucks compaired to the 780ti card? Approx 300.00 extra dollars for an extra 3gig of vram. I may be upgradeing soon and would like to know if the extra 3 gig of ram is just a waste of money. Black64 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) Short answer - No, it's not worth it. Edited April 4, 2014 by Black64
El_Capitan Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 ^ Waste of money. 22nm Maxwell GPU's coming out at the end of this year, as long as rumors of delays aren't true. I'd wait, considering how efficiently the GTX 750 Ti's perform (and with the 28nm process). By then, you'll be able to find a Titan Black for $350. DanTheGamer11 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 If you're not gonna use it for computing or whatever to use the unlocked precision then there isn't really a point
dling Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I had a feeling it was a waste. Just needed some others to say the same thing. Thanks
ClayMeow Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I'm going to just copy-n-paste what I wrote in the TITAN Z thread: Well in reality, the GTX780 Ti is the top single GPU card when it comes to gaming. The Titans (Vanilla and Black) are more a blend of gaming plus workstation, not being the very best in either one, but rather being the best combo...as in the past you always had to choose one or the other.
