Sugarmaster Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 I'm about to sleeve my psu and there are two or three uneeded cables that I want to remove. What I want to know is a safe method to do so.

AYoKoNA Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Or just tie them around the back of your mobo tray in the case so they go unnoticed. In the future, You may need those wires.
Sugarmaster Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 I kinda wanted it to look good What is "unsoldering" and how do I do it? I doubt I will ever re-use this psu so I doubt I will ever need them.
AYoKoNA Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Take a soldering iron, put it on the solder connecting the wire that is attached to the psu, and the solder should get hot, thus letting you remove the wire.
ravix Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 I simply cut off the wires and heat-shrinked the ends, then I put the ends of them inside the psu. I was sure to save them, in case I ever needed them in the future. here is a picture:
