Hyper Threaded Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) More times than not, my decisions are based around the motherboard and GPU. Intel is usually a given for CPUs, right now. I would actually say cooling comes first, though. I am looking for the least watts for the performance. Keeping things as quiet as possible, is the first priority. ir_cow Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 first I decided if its work computer or gaming in which the cpu determines the socket and how expensive the build is going to be.
