RadioActivated Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Hi I just found a computer in the trash and I want to know is it's good for games like stalker and stuff like that. I did notice that there is some RAM missing and a hard drive aswell, but I don't know what type I should put in. Here's what I found:
kyfire Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Here's a link the Dell's site woth the orginial specs for that puter..... http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/ussoho1/Servicetag/1B6H5H1?s=DHS
ClayMeow Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Unless I'm just not seeing it, there's no indication of what the video card is, other than Foxconn, nor do you show the CPU. My guess is it's low-end...and that's even if it works...there's probably a reason it's in the trash.

jimbo312 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) according to that dell spec page its a radeon 2600 xt. its not a good gaming machine but would probably be with putting in some ram and a hdd to use for just a little office machine or something. ccokeman Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 GPU looks like an ATI HD 2600 with Arctic cooling.
Andrewr05 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Take it all out of that case and find something funky to cram the hardware into. About all its good for is probably a retro gaming PC or an internet machine, but even then depending on how much memory it has (or how much you have kicking around to drop in it) it probably still just sucks. IVIYTH0S Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Keep the 2600XT as a backup card and then pull the CPU for a cool desk ornament. Scrap/Recycle the rest
SpikeSoprano Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Any good for gameing, NO, 300 watt low end psu, dual core athlon cpu that will bottleneck a gtx 460, (had one / did that ), and it needs ddr memory that if you don't have some costs a fortune to buy now if you can get it. Do what IVI said.
That_Guy Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) Ok mate so here are some great games you can still play on it:DiabloXCOM: Enemy unknownFallout 1/2possibly Starcraft Age Of Empires (i would even go as far as to say Age of Empires 2) Master of Orion Quake 1/2 there are so many more games that i still play via DosBox! So if you ask "can i play Crysis 3 on max" than my best guess is no, but there are still plenty of oldies goldies to kill time on! Waco Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 A 2600XT will do fairly okay on medium to low settings from games that era and previous (so anything pre-2008 or so).
